September 6, 2012

By Kathy Edwards McFarland

Editor’s Note: No, Blues is not the same thing as Jazz, but as a close musical cousin, Dentonites and Jazz fans must give a nod to the genre’s powerful influence on Jazz.

14th Annual Denton Blues Festival  with Bernard Allison, Curtis Salgado, Buddy Whittington, Sugar Blue, and many, many more! This FREE festival held September 15-16, at Quakertown Park in Denton, featuring live music, great food, talent contests, and fun for the whole family! Gates open at 12 each day.
