Monday, May 6:

9:30 a.m. – Vintage Jazz Society meets for discussion at Denton‘s Center for the Visual Arts, 400 E Hickory St, Denton, followed by a jam session at 10:30 a.m. – everyone is welcome!

7-9 p.m. – Jazz and Western Swing artist Carolyn Martin, and Friends, graces the Sweetwater Grill & Tavern patio stage, 115 S. Elm St., CarolynsPosterDenton. Free.

8 p.m. – Snarky Puppy, http://bandframe.com/snarkypuppy/, plays their infectious mixture of jazz, funk, and world music tonight and Tuesday night at Dan’s Silverleaf, 103 Industrial, Denton.

10 p.m. – Pete Weise, Jazz guitarist, and his group play Late Night Jazz at the Greenhouse Restaurant, 600 N. Locust, Denton.

8 p.m. – First Tuesday at Banter Bistro, 219 W. Oak St., Denton, lights up the night with Mister Joe Jazz Band, playing rousing Dixieland Jazz. At 9 p.m., the mood turns to romance with Le Not So Hot Klub du Denton offering Gypsy Swing ala Django Reinhardt for your listening and dancing pleasure.
