The Pete Weise Quartet plays Late Monday Night Jazz at the Greenhouse Restaurant, 600 N. Locust St., Denton, 10 p.m. – 12 a.m.

“We’ll play some originals from my album “Salome’s Blues.” Come hang for dollar drafts and some music. Nick will have sandwiches …” said Pete.

University of North Texas Jazz Winds Workshop Faculty Concert in Kenton Hall, 7 p.m. – FREE – same show at the same time on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – go early if you want to sit down. Faculty band members are: Rodney Booth, Rob Parton and Mike Steinel, trumpet; Shelley Carrol and Brad Leali, saxophone; Tony Baker and Steve Wiest, trombone.
