Can you believe November is here? Just the other day we were sweating to the lingering summer-like heat, and now, with Halloween “spookified” and celebrated, we move to thoughts of turkey, championship football (sorry Dallas Cowboys fans) and thoughts on how to protect beautiful plants from frosty mornings.

Sweetwater Grill & Tavern’s owner, Karen Meredith, has set in motion a truly bountiful harvest of live music this month. Always free, the music downbeat is at 7 p.m., unless otherwise posted. Sweetwater Grill & Tavern, 115 S. Elm St., Denton, offers yummy cuisine by Chef Jimmy Meredith, and the finest in drinks, wine and beer. Visit http://www.sweetwatergrillandtavern.com for details.

Highlights in this month’s stellar group of bands include:

The core musicians of Diaspora are Stefan Karlsson, Tito Charneco, Fred Hamilton, Brad Leali and Jose Aponte.

Drew Phelps’ Guitar Thing ends November on a electric-eclectic guitar fest. Drew may even set aside his up-right bass, and play the electric model!
