Denton Jazz – soggy ground moves events

Ne’er-do-well Celtic band County Rexford at The Abbey Inn, 101 E. Hickory St.,  plays every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm, for your traditional English Pub experience … Bangers and Mash or Bubble and Squeak with a refreshing libation, such as glass of Guinness.

Thursday, May 21 –

Twilight Tunes, 6:30 – 8 pm, featuring the groovy, A Taste of Herb – Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Tribute Band, takes it inside due to the inclement weather. Predicted inclement weather and saturated grounds, the May 20th concert will move indoors to Dan’s Silverleaf, 103 IndustrialAdmission is FREE.

Denton Main Street Association presents its award-winning concert series in downtown Denton starting April 23rd this year.  The concert event sets the tone for fun downtown every Thursday beginning Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will run every Thursday evening through July 2nd, with a bonus concert on Saturday, July 4th in the morning  immediately following the 4th of July parade through downtown Denton.

Join the fun on Thursday evenings on the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square lawn, 110 W. Hickory Street from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  The concert is held on the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square lawn, alternating between the east and the west side during the season.  Admission is FREE.  (Please note, the July 4th concert is a mid-morning concert and not an evening concert).

Bring your friends and family, get a meal-to-go from one of the many downtown eateries, bring a blanket or chairs, and enjoy an evening of great live music as the sun sets over downtown Denton.  The 2015 series offers an eclectic assortment of music for all listeners.  Thursday Twilight Tunes is the perfect way to kick off the weekend early and listen to some of the best local bands in the Denton area.

This is the 22nd season for this long-standing tradition in historic downtown Denton.  Below is the concert schedule, with April 23rd through July 2nd concerts set for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.. *The July 4th  concert will follow the 4th of July Parade and begin approximately 10 a.m.
